Gorgeous gardens, historic National Trust houses, the Shakespeare trail and many Cotswold treasures for you to explore.
Gorgeous gardens

Hidcote Manor and Kiftsgate are just two of the fabulous gardens to visit. Feast your senses and wander in glorious plantings.
The National Trust

I am passionate about the life of William Shakespeare and there are so many connections in these historic houses.
From the story of deer poaching at nearby Charlecote Park to his relationship with some of the Gunpowder Plot conspirators. The stories of Baddesley Clinton and Coughton Court are just part of the fascinating local history.
In Shakespeare's footsteps

The wife of William Shakespeare, Anne Hathaway, lived in this cottage. Evocative cottages and and historic houses will give you a glimpse of Shakespeare's life and times. See where he grew up, went to school and met Anne. Shakespeare and Anne are buried in Holy Trinity Church; their twins, Hamnet and Judith, were buried in the grounds of the church and there is a memorial to them there.
The Cotswolds

Take a day to wander in the many pretty Cotswold villages. Find cosy tea rooms and unusual curios in the antique shops.
Visit Blenheim Palace, home of Churchill or the Cotswold Wildlife Park - something for everyone on a day out from
Kingfisher Lodge.
Festivals and markets

If fun and bustle are your thing - there are weekly markets in Stratford upon Avon, a 3- day river festival in July, dragon boat racing and a literary festival twice a year. Several theatres, live music and great buskers by the swan fountain all make for a great time at Kingfisher Lodge.
