Q Is there parking by the lodge?
A Yes, there is free parking with room for 2 cars right outside the lodge. If you need more space you are welcome to park an extra car by the Reception building which is only a 2 minute walk from the lodge.

Can I fish by Kingfisher Lodge?
Yes, you can fish for free at Kingfisher Lodge providing you have your own rod licence. Don’t forget there is a closed season for UK river fishing between 15th March and 15th June inclusive. See our fishing page here

Where can I fish on site at Kingfisher Lodge?
You can fish from the bank right by the lodge or stroll along the river to find the best spot. There are two fishing platforms where you can put up a bivvy in the field adjacent to the park.

Yes, Kingfisher Lodge has wonderful views along the River Avon.

Is there a shop on site?
No, but there is a great SPAR shop and Post Office in Tiddington village, just 10 minutes walk from the lodge. The supermarkets will deliver to the site.

What is there for children to do at Kingfisher Lodge?
Children have a wonderful time here. There is a safe children’s playground with swings and climbing frame. Lots of space to play and lots of wildlife to watch. For a small charge there is also dinosaur crazy golf, bike hire and Stand Up Paddleboarding tuition. During the school holidays there are lots of free events like treasure hunts, free films on the big screen and more.

Is there much for kids to do in Stratford upon Avon?
Yes, there is so much to do here. The Butterfly Farm, Mechanical Museum, Harry Potter Shop and Tudor World for starters. The Stratford Big Wheel is near the Recreation Ground where is lots of room to play and see the ducks and swans on the river. Hire a rowing boat or launch. See more on our Family Fun page here

Can I walk into Stratford upon Avon from Kingfisher Lodge?
Yes, you can stroll along the towpath into the centre of town. It’s just one mile; a 25 min stroll and there is a map in our online guide book.

Can I get to Kingfisher Lodge using public transport?
Yes, Stratford upon Avon railway station is on the edge of the town centre. The nearest bus stop to the station is a 2 minute walk. Buses stop right outside Avon Park to go into Stratford upon Avon or to Warwick. Supermarkets will deliver and there are restaurants and a good shop within a ten minute walk.

How many dogs can I bring with me?
The lodge is suitable for two dogs and we have bowls and towels in the lodge for your convenience as well as maps and suggestions for walks.
